The SECU MD Foundation has a long history of helping students achieve their goals through the annual SECU MD Foundation Scholarship program, which has awarded $1 million in scholarships since the program’s inception 18 years ago.

Because of our strong commitment to helping young people throughout our Maryland communities and our partnership with the University System of Maryland schools, we are awarding $10,000 scholarships to 12 students currently attending any of Maryland’s 16 community colleges who are transferring to a University System of Maryland university for the 2024-2025 academic year. Students currently enrolled at a University System of Maryland school who recently transferred within the last 18 months are also eligible to apply.

SECU MD Foundation is proud to help SECU members attending a Maryland community college take the next step in their education at a University System of Maryland school. Applications are being accepted from March 18 – May 3. All SECU members attending a Maryland community college are encouraged to apply at Scholarship Program | SECU MD Foundation.

Winners will be announced in June.

Colleges and universities are the foundation of a strong and healthy economy. The Mid-Atlantic STA Foundation is dedicated to the needs of students of business, finance, and economics and is proud to offer our Annual Scholarship Awards. This year the Foundation intends to award two $2,000 scholarships for high school seniors who have participated in Stock Market Game (one from MD and one from VA) for their first year of college, and two $5,000 college/university scholarships to candidates selected from our member jurisdiction of Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.  The scholarship winners will be announced in August, with monies forwarded to the respective schools on behalf of the recipients prior to the Fall semester.
