Girls in Finance is a program that brings middle school girls together with experienced financial industry professionals to create conversations about financial industry careers.  Prior to entering high school and selecting high school coursework is the perfect time to expose girls to the wide range of career options available within finance.  The girls meet with professionals in small, intimate groups that encourage dialogue and questions about career paths.  Participating professionals have included bankers, investment professionals, financial journalists and more.

The Girls in Finance Program also includes a visit to Towson University including a tour of the campus and lunch in the dining hall.  Participants initially are exposed to the world of finance through playing the Stock Market Game.

Invest in Girls- High School Girls

Because women have historically been underrepresented in financial careers, Invest in Girls focuses on providing financial literacy and mentorship opportunities specifically for high school girls and ultimately increasing the number of women working in finance.

Invest in Girls offers virtual courses on the basics of personal finance and investing and partners with MCEE to offer local in-person experiences for the students to meet and hear industry professionals give insights and advice about careers in finance.
