CEE: The Basics of Economics

The Basics of Economics is a 3-hour session designed for first-time teachers who are teaching economics grades 6-12. This session covers the following concepts: Wants and Needs, Scarcity, Supply and Demand, Income, Incentives, Goods and Services, Producers and Consumers, Factors of Production, Money. Presenters will cover each concept and its meaning. There will be breakout rooms for discussion and a wide variety of free high-quality lesson plans, activities, and videos from EconEdLink and other trusted partners.
